This isn’t your ordinary run of the mill hot dog. Get ready to amp up the voltage with this fantastic hot dog dish!
30ml olive oil
4 American hotdog/frankfurters
120ml Clarks Sticky Plum Sauce
4 rustic hot dog rolls
1 onion, thinly sliced
15ml olive oil
15ml white balsamic vinegar
4 gherkins, halved lengthways
125ml Tomato Fritos, crushed
Heat 15ml olive oil in a large frying pan and sauté the onions until soft, but not coloured.
Season to taste with salt and pepper and add the white balsamic vinegar and allow it to reduce.
Heat 30ml olive oil in a separate frying pan and fry the sausages until golden.
Add the Sticky Plum Sauce and allow it to reduce.
Cut a the rolls in half along the top and put the glazed sausage in it.
Top with caramelised onions, gherkins and crushed Fritos.
